I don’t know about you but I was super excited to see some really awesome news in the papers yesterday. More than 858,000 people have downloaded the NHS backed Couch to 5k App since the beginning of lockdown, an increase of 92% from this time last year. This is just AMAZING news. So! if you’re a beginner, welcome! You’re going to LOVE it, you’re also going to hate it, maybe become obsessed with it, or in it for the tech – whatever you’re reasons stick with it until it becomes part of your daily routine and then you’ll start wondering how you lived without it. In my beginners page, you can read about the trials and tribulations of how I started running – you never know! there maybe something in there that helps spur you on but if nothing else, it may make you smile.
Ooofh! This picture takes me back … right back to 2017 when I decided that life with 2 kids and a full time job weren’t difficult enough so I’d throw some serious marathon training into the mix, just for shits ‘n’ giggles.
Follow the weeks and weeks of training taking me from newby runner to Marathon runner with a few wine breaks in between 😉
As ‘honest as they come’ overviews of each of the races I’ve run over the last few years can be found on this page. From start to finish, portaloo’s to lesson’s learned, London to Edinburgh and a few places in between.
